Dr. Boletta is a senior investigator at the San Raffaele Institute in Milan where she has been working on cilia and ciliopathies for the past two decades. She is an ERC Advanced Grant holder and has extensive experience in meeting organization. She has been Director of the Division of Genetics and Cell Biology (2014–2019), initiating and organizing the tradition of an annual Divisional Retreat (approx. 150 people). She has served on the committee for the organization of the general San Raffaele Institutional Retreat (approx. 500 people), and on several Institutional, National and International committees — including the organizing committees of the European Renal Association (ERA 2025, Vienna) and the European Cilia meeting (Cilia 2024, Dublin). She has been involved in organization of the annual meeting of the PKD Center at the University of Baltimore, USA. She is founder and current vice-chair of the scientific committee of the Italian Association for PKD, contributing to the organization of several national meetings.
